Fashion design is the art of applying design, aesthetics and natural beauty to clothing and its accessories.

 

My major is fashion design, and while it may be a little presumptuous to say that I am a fashion designer, I am going to say it anyway. Now, before I divulge all of my hopes and dreams, let's start from the beginning.

Hi, I’m Tyler. I was born into a military family in a hospital somewhere in Philadelphia. Three years later, my dad received orders to Jacksonville, Florida and that is where I spent the majority of my childhood. I was involved in a lot of clubs throughout my pre-college educational years and was a cheerleader for over a decade. I have a love for traveling, music and books: my favorite place to travel to is either Spain or England; the music I tend to listen to the most is mainly alternative (I don’t have a favorite song); and, the best book I have ever read is Pride and Prejudice. My favorite quote is “nothing beautiful asks for attention”. My dream job is to be either a costume designer for film or an assistant to someone high up for a major clothing brand. My mother has always told me that I don’t know how to fail, the plan just changes.
